Using this rough draft form, you will fill it in to create a 5 paragraph essay about would you THINK about the topics we have been covering.

There are many things you can talk about. You can look at how women are shown in advertising (print or TV), how men are shown, how women act, how men act. You can use the movies we have watched, the articles we have read or other sources online.

An example of a very basic these statement could be: The media works hard to show men and women in gender specific ways, these can include; how women are shown in advertisements, how models are expected to look and how men are shown.

Activity #3--How we see men and boys?

  • In a Word document create 2 collages
    • 1st one--Images of what you think a "Real Man is...." (use Google)---10+ images
    • 2nd one--Images of what you think a "Real Man is NOT...." (use Google)---10 + images.
      • You can copy and paste and use the format area to overlap them and make them look like a collage
      • This is NOT a group project
      • Email when done

  • You can also use magazines and cut and paste your images if you prefer (this will be more complicated since finding the images will be harder)
